The Carl Berry Foundation (TCBF) Organized Major Fundraiser to Paint Schools, Equip Youth Teams and Combat Crime in Long Bay and other surrounding communities in Portland, Jamaica

LONG BAY, PORTLAND, Jamaica – The TCBF launched a series of community-wide fundraising activities over the Labour Day weekend, May 23-25, 2025 to provide essential sports gear for local youth and foster positive community engagement in Portland as well as paint Fair Prospect High School.

The Organizer emphasized that beyond simply acquiring equipment, the initiative's core goal is social intervention. By actively engaging youngsters in productive sports activities, the Foundation aims to reduce opportunities for criminal involvement and contribute to a significant reduction in crime and violence within the community and surrounding areas.

The three-day event was designed to be a comprehensive, family-friendly weekend of activities involving all members of the community. The activities kicked off with a community clean-up and sporting events at the Fair Prospect High School. On May 24, 2025 the Event shifted to the Adventure Park in Long Bay, where it featured more sporting competitions, a raffle, and an "Old School" party in the evening. Culminated on Sunday, May 25, 2025 with a dedicated Sport and Fun Day for parents and children at the Adventure Park. The three day activities were successful and several objectives were achieved.

We would like to thank Minister Grange, GraceKennedy Co Ltd, BH Paints, Adventure Park, and The Fair Prospect High School.
